Great painting! With interiors being b&w, the color paintings were the only glimpse into the fully realized world she had created for the interior stories.

Although Science Fiction is a genre that has never appealled to me in terms of stories, I've always really enjoyed the visuals of the genre and it was always fun to see a new copy of A Distant Soil hit the stands, especially knowing that it was created by a very rare female in such a male dominated industry, both on the creative side as well as on the readership side. A wonderful career accomplishment. Great looking cover, too!
