DescriptionWell, what can I say my Dear Fellow Art Collectors. This Star Wars Strip and the next one kind of fell into my lap. Thanks to another fellow art collector Steve Staszower for reaching out to me and letting me grab them.They also took an unwarranted detour courtesy of the USPS from California to Miami, Fl., to Illinois and back to Miami. 2 days of shipping turned into 2 weeks, but the ordeal makes me love them and appreciate them so much more, and overall I am very Happy that they made it home safe and sound. This Piece by Russ Helm and Master Artist Alfredo Alcala (My Tocayo) features Darth Vader, a beautifully rendered Princess Leia, the Mighty Chewbacca and a Kadrillian named Dal Quirz. Those Kadrillian sure do look like the almost extinct Frog Lady Alien Species that appeared in the Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 3. I wonder if they are the same species but I have not been able to make the connection. Hard to believe this strip is 41 years old. Published 9-23-1980. I was seven years old when it was published and fully immersed in the Star Wars toy line. Enjoy Fellas. Social/Sharing |

Fantastic piece! Your story of its travels via the USPS seems to be more of a common one these days. Just this week alone, I had a piece that was shipped to me from England finally arrive at my local post, only for the post office to send it out to another part of the state where it's now been sitting for four days. I'm glad this piece eventually got to you!

Those aliens also remind me of the tortoise-like Yinchorri from issue #86 of the original Marvel series. Great strip!
