A wonderful scene of Conan doing what he does best. Not sure if you're familiar with him, Chris, but Asrar's work here reminds me of a slightly more refined Tony Salmons. Really nice!

Good eye, Ruben. A MUCH more refined Salmons. I see it in the swathes of black and the faces too.

What a great action page - the layout combines with the background to draw your eye across the piece. The line weight really brings emphasis on the characters, Conan especially. Great page and solid add to your collection Chris. Congrats bud!

By Crom! The savageness of the Hyborian age visualized in the raw milieu of the brutal world that hardened Conan. Cue the Basil Poledouris score to feel heavy brass and the strings for the epicness!

Conan doin' what he do! Great action splash up top, and I'm often impressed with Asrar's clean and dark inks. Congrats!

Congrats a nice Asrar example! Personally I have always thought he is fairly influenced by Immonen, with still a style all of his own.

I've grown to love Asrar's work more and more over the years. He's morphed from a more blocky style in his early years to something more delicate in his linework, without losing the heft and power of his blacks. He's also one of those guys who does shading for forms using uni-directional lines vs overusing cross-hatching which I admire a lot - a sure signature of a more confident artist. Great pickup, Chris!

By Crom, that's the Conan Carnage page I want to see. Let the bodies hit the floor, Cimmerian. Huh, Conan has a very alliterative history. This is really nice work from Asrar. Very nice inking. Congrats!

Great page! Asrar's work on Conan has been a revelation. I've enjoyed his work for awhile and you could always tell he was good but the way he's incorporated the fine line rendering into his style recently has really elevated his work to the next level.
