DescriptionElektra & Daredevil by Roby Amor. 11 x 14Several weeks back there was an art claim sale for Next Comic Art on Comic Art Live and when this Elektra & Daredevil colored pencils piece from Roby Amor came up I knew I had to have it! Rather than ship from the Philippines I opted to wait a few weeks until Jiggy (artist rep/owner of Next Comic Art) was going to be in town for NYCC and I was able to pick it up from him on Day 1/Thursday of NYCC in Artist Alley. Was awesome meeting him and chatting with him as well and very happy to have this in the collection. Hopefully can meet Roby in person at a future show as well, very talented artist! Check out the Next Comic Art guys (link above), lots of great talent. Social/Sharing |

Wow! This is just colored pencils? Looks like full on mixed media. Congrats on this stellar piece! The Devil and the Assassin are in full effect here.

Thanks! And honestly you may be right, all i know of are the colored pencils but never got clarity if other mediums were used. I gotta ask Jiggy again! ;-)

Amor is definitely bringing his all to create fresh iconic imagery for characters we've all come to be familiar with over the years. Technique and personality are both in play as both subjects show the swagger of taking this city back.

I could tell this was a stunner on the show, but seeing the clean scan truly highlights all the effort. Thanks for posting!

Really well done and a nice addition to your collection. The Philippines has a long history and tradition of producing outstanding comic book illustrators, so not surprised!

Red and red, back to back - I can dig it. Colors are great, and I like his DD costume tweaks. Congrats, Kavi!
