Neal Adams is quoted as saying that kids are hard to draw beacuse artists try to make them tiny versions of adults. Pinto understands and is able to make the kid here look realistic in proportions as well as in the face. It has the cherubic features that define how a normal child should look and by extention able to make the adults even more realistic in this world of Superman.
