This is an example of the printed page and coloring taking just not doing justice to the original artwork. I didn't read this run of Aquaman but it seems pretty clear that Veitch was bringing his previous macabre and edgy writing to this series.

Although an Aquaman comic if you just look at the artwork it could easily be mistaken for a sword & sorcery or horror title. In addition to Aquaman being present this page focuses on Tempest and scantily clad warrior Valkyries Brynhild and Grymhild as they hack and slash their way through reanimated warrior corpses. Layout is four oversized panels of action! Check out the use of blacks and the details of the images. Amazing work!

Page is in overall very good condition showing normal signs of wear with age and handling. Word balloons are all paste-ons as is the "Slish" sound effect in the second panel. Use of blue pencil and white-out as part of the creative process. Note that in the middle of the page there is a white paste-on touching all the panels of about 6" by 1" with covered original art underneath and original art on it to produce the printed image.

This is such a cool page!!!
