DescriptionWelcome back to Shemp's Gallery. To celebrate this final month, I thought it would be appropriate to recognize, celebrate and promote "The Dueling Dealers of Comic Art."For those who don't know, The Dueling Dealers of Comic Art is a weekly Youtube show on Wednesday night's at 9pm EST. Structured like a prizefight, two Original Comic Art Dealers go head-to-head for 15 rounds, with each offering 15 spectacular new artworks to the market, or artworks that are discounted only during the show. It is hosted by the owner of CAF, Bill Cox and the dealers are Anthony Snyder of Anthony's Comic Art and Mike Burkey of Romitaman Original Comic Art. There have been guest dealers and there have been collectors who go on the show to sell art. If you collect original artwork, vintage or new, this is a fun and entertaining way to add artwork to your collection. The show's first broadcast was January 27 2021. They just finished their 47th episode. I was late to the party, I didn't catch it until episode 6 or 7. I've been a regular watcher ever since and have bought a few items. To see the show, simply click on the Dueling Dealers banner on the right side of your screen, or search "comic art live youtube" in your browser. On to the art. My first purchase from the Dueling Dealers of Comic Art. Purchased from Episode #12 4-14-2021 from Mike Burkey. A Greg LaRocque Flash title splash. Flash was my favorite title when it was being published. Wally West was my Flash. I know Barry Allen was the Flash before Wally but I never read that title. Great early splash from the Invasion crossover issue. Flash #21 pg 1 "Invaded Lives" written by William Messner-Loebs art by Greg LaRocque and Larry Mahlstedt Social/Sharing |

Nice Dueling Dealers grab! I always enjoyed all the relaunches of the main DC characters right after Crisis ended, and although Barry Allen was the Flash to me, I still loved this series. I was torn over it though, because while I didn't mind Wally taking over, I really hated that it meant we no longer had a Kid Flash, because that costume was cool and I still wanted to see it around.

Such a great run... pun intended! Great pickup. This one takes me back.

Wally West is also my Flash, as I started reading DC in '89. A fantastic character who showed great development over his decades as the Flash, I don't care for how DC has treated him in recent years. This is a great page, as Greg LaRocque is criminally underrated.

This is an great early pick up! Wally's look represents a lot of the feelings those early episodes carried!

Very memorable splash from a key story of Wally's early adventures as the Flash. Larocque's remains the Flash artist I grew up with (and the one I still like the best) and I always enjoy seeing his art from that era !
