Description

I am a huge fan of Jonny Quest. It was one of the best animated series ever and I have always wanted a piece of artwork featuring the characters. Who better than Steve Rude to accomplish this? I did not give him any real guidance on it. I just wanted an action shot of the main cast and he delivered a beautiful piece. One of the favorites of my collection.

Great piece! It's like a team up book action splash where all your favorites do their thing. The Rude uses of sharp shadow really fits in with the dynamic animated look.

Cover worthy artwork. I see Steve included a Quotong Missile Mystery guard and props from the cartoon. The detonator, the walkie talkie, and the tranquilizer air gun.

Fantastic work.

The placement of the characters and action just naturally leads your eyes down to the finale of the dynamite plunger!

Steve was one of the first guys I got to Ink. It was a Teen Titans/DNAgents Crossover... sorta. I've always loved his work. I wonder why he doesn't get much work... like, I should talk...

All I can hear while looking at this is the theme song from the show. Love the execution and flow of the page. Steve Rude was born to draw Jonny Quest and Space Ghost. The Toth influence is there.
