Descriptionhere’s a modern-meets-traditional production approach to narrative, sequential art—specifically this original art splash page for #dccomics’ #greenarrow vs #blackcanary no.25, page 2, december 2009, written by #andrewkreisberg;#mikenorton drew digital blue-line layouts for renowned artist#billsienkiewicz, who in this case is the inker; then bill printed mike’s digital blue-line art and physically inked it on the page; i grew up with #sienkiewicz’s art and always admired his artistry, where he began being heavily influenced by #nealadams with #moonknight no.1, august, 1980; but his art evolved into a distinct, recognizable style that’s truly his own across a variety of executions and mediums, including graphic design, collage, illustrations, fine-art oil paintings, mixed media, water color, and others; however, the commonality in each of his pieces is distinctly identifiable as #sienkiewicz; this page embodies some of his artistic rendering style as displayed with those iconic sketchy lines on #oliverqueen aka green arrow; no offence to mike but i’m unfamiliar with his work and really only attracted to bill’s sense of modern abstract illustration; and i’m perfectly pleased with this piece; thank you to corey and andrew at cadencecomicart.com for providing a great service; Social/Sharing |

Norton should be given his due for the storytelling and pacing. With Sienkiewicz's style being so dominant, you can feel it take over to add and enhance what is there with mood and energy. He didn't have to worry about the layouts, so more time is given to do even more with what is there.
