here’s my first piece of pen-and-ink original art cover by the talented #butchguice aka #jacksonguice, invaders #3, vol.3, 2019; purchased on #comicartlive 14 november 2021;

butch’s art embodies realism mixed with fluid action that’s technically well illustrated; this cover depicts a dynamic-angle composition with lines leading your eyes to both the #wintersoldier and #namor;

also, butch is influenced by industry luminaries #nealadams #tompalmer and #genecolan, to name a few; and, as manifested in his latest #amberblake project, butch continues to elevate his art over time;

during the second world war, #captainamerica #buckybarnes #humantorch and namor (#submariner), joined forces to combat the axis; in this “war ghosts” 12-part invaders mini series written by #chipzdarsky, the winter soldier (formerly bucky), the captain and torch now combat #namor, who’s become a global threat;

i’m ever grateful to caf’s #billcox (comicartfans.com) for virtually reenergizing the oa industry and reigniting our childhood passion for sequential narration; also big thanks to collector/dealer chris abel (cmabel.com) for selling this piece, answering all my silly questions, and delivering it safely in my hands—even overcoming the current bc interior flooding disaster

A very desirable cover! Guice's art has always been action and detail oriented, but this takes his modern style to great heights of technical and dramatic storytelling!

Guice's work has always been impressive while the evolution of his style never stopped.
