DescriptionBlack Panther Limited Series issue 1, page 2 (1988).Great panels of Panther taking down a rhino. It's a cool hat tip to a similar scene in Jungle Action. I always found the portrayal of his face in this series a little weird. They tried to give him more of a cat-like face, as opposed to the way it had been drawn to this point to be kind of similar to Spider-man's mask. It's interesting that the cat face made it into the Black Panther movie. This series seems to have been the main inspiration for how BPs mask looked in the movie. Social/Sharing |

This is great and brilliant to show his power to impress upon the audience how he's different than other heroes.

Great action page! And yes, the catlike mask is an interesting take. Some work better than others. I did really like how they incorporated it into the Black Panther film, vs the look in Civil War. I have a page in my collection by a newer artist, Kenneth Rocafort, who I think added the catline look really well. Great page, Don - congrats!
