The Ant (whose real name is Charlie) is a fictional animated character created by Friz Freleng, who starred alongside The Blue Aardvark in 17 theatrical shorts, in the series called "The Ant and the Aardvark".
The Ant and Aardvark are the second most well-known characters created by DePatie�Freleng Enterprises, as such he and the Aardvark have starred alongside The Pink Panther in many different shows, that would showcase their old shorts.
In The Pink Panther (1993 TV series), the Ant and Aardvark would serve as supporting characters and even star in their own short during the final episode.
In 2010, the two continued to star in their own segments in the series Pink Panther and Pals with new voice actors.

As a kid, I really thought that they came up with these because they wanted to play off the Pink Panther theme. Dead ant, Dead ant, Dead ant, Dead ant, Dead ant, Dead ant, Dead ant....
