DescriptionI finally got a Marvel Star Wars page...and... a Walt Simonson page... a Two-fer!!!Walt explained the back story behind this art for Star Wars #53: "This was sort of a jam piece. The story originally comes from John Carter of Mars Annual (can see that on top border), but was never published. Chris re-wrote it as a 2 part story for Star Wars, and we salvaged much of Carmine's original art. First two panels are Carmine, the third panel is both of us, small figures are Carmine, and the big heads (Leia) and last three panels are me (Walt). And, I redrew some of the panels...specifically Obi-wan in the second panel." I am very lucky to now be caretaker for this page, Big Mahalo to Dino Mauricio for trading it to me. Social/Sharing |
