Description

A client asked me to do a blueline recreation of a DPS (double-page spread) as originally rendered by Velluto & Almond from the original Velluto pencils from Black Panther v3 #28, pages 5-6. On this spread T'Challa (representing Wakanda) and Everett K. Ross (USA) has a delegation organized consisting of Dr. Doom (Latveria), Namor (Atlantis), Magneto (mutant-kind/Genosha?) and Kro (Deviants of Lemuria) to discuss the possibility of war at the location of the classroom T'Challa's old identity of school teacher Luke Charles used to work at in Harlem. After printing up the pages in blueline on board the client gave up on it and client Daniel Best chose to commission the work to completion. (Some areas of the pencils are inked because for a while during the Velluto/Almond 3-year Panther run Sal had a friend local to him handle filling in the backs before sending pages to me to expedite the production.) This recreation was completed on October 7, 2019.
