Really cool as there are no borders between panels and the tangents between just blend like a big image requiring one to work out the breaks.

Thanks for your comment!  Yea, I really like that final portrait.  Phillips goes from cartoony to photorealistic from panel to panel, depending on the needs and mood of the story, and he can really turn up the face acting.  I have some pages of his that are crammed full of great (IMO) faces with various expressions.

Yes indeed!  I've got pages from several Phillip & Brubaker projects, and I love everything they do, but it's really special when the pages are 1) full size, 2) fully inked including all flat black areas, 3) lettered on the page (given Brubaker's brilliance), and most importantly 4) physical rather than fully digital (obviously!  though I have commissioned him to draw a page from one fully digital series, so there are remedies when I'm needy enough and he is willing to take the time despite the furious pace of production required for his ongoing projects).

Thank God Brubaker and Phillips are as prolific as they are great, so they can keep the high quality books coming out at a break-neck pace
