DescriptionCarrying on the legacy of Captain America, Shannon Carter (niece of SHIELD agent Sharon Carter) became American Dream on Earth-982, the same universe as May Parker/Spider-Girl, A-Next, the X-People, Darkdevil, the Fantastic Five, etc.I absolutely love this commanding full-figure, shield-prominent cover image created by Ron Frenz and Scott Koblish. Shannon Carter brought a sense of joy and pride to her 'avenging' that really comes through here. So happy to have this one in my collection. My Marvel ladies theme continues in a couple days! I don't have to say a lot more about the way I feel about Red Queen. No respect! No honor! There is no honor among thieves in the first place. She put hard times on Shannon Carter and her family. You don't know what hard times are, daddy! Hard times are when the comic artists around this country are out of work and got four, five kids, and can't pay their wages, can't buy their food. Hard times are when the inkers are out of work and they tell them 'Go home!'. And hard times are when a man has been an colorist for thirty years — thirty years! — they give him a watch, kick him in the butt and say 'Hey, a computer took your place, daddy!'. That's hard times! That's hard times.

Another awesome cover! Frenz and Koblish knocked it out of the park. I also can't believe that it's been 14 years since this series debuted. Time sure is flying.

Makes you feel and good and just smile, like AD here, when looking at this piece :) A hopeful aspiring shot of the titular character, worthy of adorning the first issue cover! And the Koblish brush inks are TOPS. Congrats, Paul!

Marvel does heroines right. As does Frenz! It screams Cap, and that angle choice sets it all off perfectly. And Koblish's inks look really nice over Frenz's pencils. Great cover. Congrats!
