DescriptionDisney WWII Insignia Drawing for 4014th Quartermaster Truck Company by Hank Porter (Walt Disney, c. 1945). An angry, fierce-looking vehicle shows that he means business as he speeds away in this dynamic image. This drawing was created by Hank Porter for the 4014th Quartermaster Truck Company during World War II. This company operated out of Ledo Army Air Force Field in India, which was a military base on the Ledo Road. Companies like these were responsible for motor vehicle transportation for cargo and personnel during the war. This brilliantly anthropomorphized character is rendered with graphite and blue pencil on onionskin paper measuring 9.5" x 7.5". The page is marked in its lower right corner with 1242. This fantastic insignia drawing is in Very Good condition, with minor handling and edge wear. From the Samuel Grabarski "Disney Goes to War" Archives. Social/Sharing |
