Description

I have loved Kelley's work since the '90s Batman run, but he has done so much work that stands out. (most recently finished Frankenstein Alive, Alive for Bernie Wrightson after he got too sick to finish and then died.) My buddy actually got this commission from an opp, and I was smitten right away and would keep asking him to sell it to me. After a fair amount of pestering, he relented and it is now mine! :) Kelley told him this was the first time he ever drew Spawn.

I colored a copy of it, as I like to do with sketches. Being that Spawn is all red it is hard to show all the various shades of red in the scan, but I'll include it too.

The drapery of the cape is smooth as silk with all the shiny reflective surfaces put in.
