DescriptionAnother awesome page from this classic run, featuring Jackie MaGee fleeing from a Kaiju attack on her building. Property destruction and giant monsters, what fun!Bennett delivers on the pencils yet again, and I believe this page is probably inked by Belardino Brabo, although the issue is credited with 3 inkers - Ruy Jose, Brabo and Cam Smith. Could be any of them but my money's on Brabo. Original inks over blueline pencils. Social/Sharing |

Bravo really did a great job to give a great bulky mass and weight to these monsters. The first panel kills require a focus to see, and constant threat is all around this page.

Absolutely agree, Marcus - Bennett's pencils were amazing and breathed ferocious life into the Immortal Hulk run, but his inkers also did some heavy lifting in rendering and giving volume to his work. These pages have so much detail, the brush/pen work is exquisite! I think it's going to be a long, loooong time before we have artists this epic on the Hulk again. LONG LIVE IMMORTAL HULK! 😁

Ottley is a fine and very dynamic artist whose depiction of the Hulk is funky and energetic for sure - I will say that I'm not a fan of Donny Cate's writing though. I feel he's jettisoned the amazing character development and layering of personalities which Al Ewing brough to the Immortal Hulk in favour of 'cool' ideas and gimmicks. I feel that the redemptive arc which Banner and Savage/Child Hulk went through has been ignored, and that is a real shame for this reader.
