Description

Wolverine and the X-Men written by Jason Aaron with art from Chris Bacchalo, Nick Bradshaw, Ramon Perez, Pepe Larraz, Walden Wong, Tim Townsend and Jamie Mendoza is my FAVORITE modern X-Men story. The Characters I grew up with as students were now running the school, and the new cast of young mutants felt fresh and timely. This page is from later in the story and we get almost all of the old guard cast, checking in on Professor Logan. I love how this series challenged Logan to evolve, giving him a new purpose and mission among the X-mythos (for as long as tends to happen in comics.).
Early in the pandemic, I got to participate in a great Hero Initiative zoom call with Nick Bradshaw and I got to ask him about why this version of the X-Men was such a great fit for him, and he talked about his love as a kid for both Archie comics, and monster comics; which I think gave him an excellent foundation for the emotional authenticity he brought to Jason Aaron's scripts.

Nobody brings a story to life quite like Bradshaw. Every detail adds to the world-building and the characters themselves.
