DescriptionSo as one does, I was laying down to go to bed and saw a new Dueling Dealers had aired...missed it live but wanted to see the action. This page popped up and I locked eyes with all those eyes and immediately liked the page. Happily it never sold on air so I reached out and worked out a deal. What really sold me on it was the origin story of Null The Living Darkness: "Null the Living Darkness was birthed from the collective unconscious of the ancient S'raphh race. The S'raphh had lived on Earth's moon millennia before, and had been unable to find the meaning of life. After committing collective suicide, the race's unconscious desired revenge on creation. Null was sent forth to battle all creation in their name." Its just epic...an entire species of angels collectively commiting suicide and giving rise to Null...and I love cosmic entities that embody a concept/force. Also it's the only full splash in the issue...perhaps the only Null splash...have to check on that. The title of this issue was "Dance of Darkness! Dance of Light!" and this splash embodies that title well. I think Null "died" in this issue though...so don't see any further appearances in his future. My first page by Don Perlin. Social/Sharing |

I really loved that page. Think I had seen it twice before. I always love eye art, so I definetly give praise to it. Congrats.

Yeah it caught my eye. I love crazy almost Lovecraft-esque entities in Marvel books. The back story added a lot to me as well. Just a cool layout and the inks were really well done after seeing it in hand. Never read any Defenders before buying this page but have since bought all Null appearances and really enjoyed this little story arc.

Really eye catching work once there is time to study what it is. The shows banter may be too fast paced to see everything going on in this immensely rich page for the quick claim.
