"La femme fatale (letteralmente "donna fatale"), è un personaggio tipo molto diffuso nella letteratura europea e spesso rappresentato in numerose opere cinematografiche. A volte presentata, soprattutto nella tradizione critica italiana, facendo ricorso all'appellativo di dark lady, la femme fatale è caratterizzata da una provocante bellezza unita a uno spietato cinismo e a una seducente morbosità." *

identico tema viene sviluppato nei film del 2000 che si ispirano spesso anche a rielaborazioni degli anni 50 e 60, dal cinema e dal fumetto, come nei film ispirati dall'opera di Frank Miller, Sin City e quelli di Tarantino, grande appassionato e quindi influenzato dalla cultura italiana anche noir, horror e sexy degli anni 60 e 70. Questa tavola presenta una ghiotta occasione per riflettere sullo sviluppo di questi temi ricorrenti.

Stylish and sleek! The two panel storytelling is wonderful by teasing and showing just the relevant facial features to exude mood and glamor.

Perfetto esempio del primo Magnus, dove il frequente ricorso a silhouettes e primissimi piani risulta al tempo stesso espediente per ridurre i tempi di lavoro ed efficace scelta stilistica. Davvero sorprendente la corrispondenza del fotogramma di Kill Bill con il primo pannello!
