Description

I bought this from Jim Mooney approximately twenty years ago (2001-2002), when it was just pen and ink without color. However, there were a lot of blue pencil scratchings in the background sky, as if Jim had thought about coloring the picture, but then stopped. That might not have been the case, as the only other color work I'd seen of his pin-ups was done digitally by someone other than him. Anyway, I felt compelled to color the pin-up with pencils and markers, if only to cover up the blue scratchings in the sky. Afterward, I felt so bad about coloring the piece that I put it away for years and have only now rediscovered it in 2022. Despite my amateurish coloring, I think it's still a terrific pin-up by one of Spidey's signature artists of fifty or so years ago. Note to self: never again take pencil or marker to original comic art,
