DescriptionBack several decades ago when I worked on Xmen, Gambit always struck me as potentially one of the more interesting new characters in the X-Universe, and certainly from a visual design standpoint. I honestly don't know if he's still a popular character for Marvel (anyone?), but either way, I enjoyed the chance to revisit him in his original costume, and use his home turf of the French Quarter in New Orleans as a backdrop. The new series debuts in May I believe.Social/Sharing |

He will forever be the ragin Cajun, just married to Rogue and a bit less edgy at the moment. Love seeing your latest work and a great cover honoring the classic Gambit we all love full of his southern charm and back home (out of the swamps but in the city).

Gambit is great, but love the architecture in the background!

Wow, the amount of time and effort which you put into those buildings is absolutely phenomenal, Scott. I'm SO glad to see they didn't cover any of it up with copy. It's great to see you continuing to get more cover gigs! Oh, and Gambit has a massive fan following, though I hear tell some eras are more popular than others.

In any case this should increase his popularity. Congrats.

Beautiful detail! I feel like Gambit never lived up to the initial hype, but maybe the new/old X-Men cartoon series will help.

Wow! Very cool Gambit cover! Love your use of thick, rich blacks to enhance the mood. You really rocked this one!

Yes, Gambit is still a very popular character, he's lived up to the hype, and I see that everywhere I go from fanart, message boards, voting polls, Youtube comments and so on. The past few years hasn't been good for him because of these talentless hacks, but then again, I could say that for dozens of other characters.
