Description

Original cover painting for Book 2 of "The Heralds of Valdemar" series by Mercedes Lackey, published by Arrow Books, UK 1988. Finely hand-painted in acrylics on illustration board, 19" x 12" and comes custom framed and double matted under glass to 26.5" x 20". I have All three cover paintings for the trilogy , each beautifully custom framed to complement the coloration of the image and yet "present" as a trio of related paintings.

The color scheme is well thought out embedding the horse and character into the mountainous icescape as they travel towards that environment.
