Description

When I started reading comics as a young child in the early 70's two of my favorite artists were Gil Kane and John Romita Sr. I loved their art even more when they collaborated together. In my continuation of inking recreations that I love I took on the challenge of inking this classic cover. My admiration of their work grew exponentially after attempting to emulate their line work. Nothing but respect for these 2 comic art legends!

An all star art team and you followed it to show the Kane anatomy and how Romita softened and glued it together with a smooth line.

Hey Rich.. did you eyeball/freehand the drawing or Lightbox/Blueline it? Good effort either way!

Was tracking this on HA in the early stages and actually thought about bidding. Had to laugh when I saw the final price. Hmm, maybe I should just buy yours. LOL! Great job buddy!

There are a lot of originals I would love to own, including this one, but out of my price range. In addition to now having a close recreation of this piece I got experience line for line what went into drawing the original. And that makes me appreciate their craft and skills all the more! Thanks for the kind words.
