I love Don's work and with this being his first published cover and the super sexy girl and it being a super fun cover I wanted to have it.

Don Maitz The Virgin & the Wheels Paperback Book Cover Original Art (Popular Library, 1976). A fantastic image created for the science fiction book that contains two novellas by L. Sprague de Camp. An interesting twist on pirates for this first commissioned cover by Maitz that was originally titled "Virgin of Zesh", painted in oil on stretched canvas at a size of 28" x 22". Surface wear with some color loss. Signed by Maitz in the lower right image area and in Very Good condition. Includes a copy of the book.
