Description

Paul Fung, Jr. (attributed) Blondie & Dagwood Family #2 Complete 5-Page Story "Down and Out!" Original Art (Harvey Comics, 1963). Dagwood Bumstead takes a beating -- literally -- over a runaway $100 bill in this bizarre entry from one of the later spinoff books from Chic Young's famous newspaper feature, Blondie. Unusually violent for a Comics Code-approved story, the slapstick pageant suggests the stylistic approach of Fung, Jr., one of Young's more accomplished officially designated ghost-artists. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area of 11.5" x 17". Page conditions range from Very Good to Excellent, with occasional areas of handling wear.
