DescriptionAnother strip by one of my favorite obscure cartoonists, Rod Ruth. Created by Stanley and Betsy Baer in 1941, with Ruth as the hired artist. He stayed on it through 1961. This interaction between adult brother and sister is a lively domestic scene, with nice expression and gestures. I love Ruth's line work, and his patterns and gestures as well. A good example in the first panel here, with the two figures' clothing patterns and shading, the shading on the kitchen objects, all playing off each other in a tight composition.Social/Sharing |

The dialogue has some nice rhythm to it as well.
