MacLean brings the good soldier mentality to this piece that uses the after battle healing trope to wring out the drama and emotion of this unique bond of Batman and Robin. It celebrates that along with the rest of Miller's DKR with his upcoming battles of Mutant Leader, Joker, Superman, and his own stubborness to let go of his old ideals. The naive innocence of Carrie Kelly with the grizzled old mass of Batman is wonderfully done in MacLean's style while being inspired by the Miller masterpiece.

This is pure cartooning genius! Old Bruce is hitting the bottle after a tough scrap. His unique application of ink wash adds a whole new level to his work. Congrats!

So many cool details on this! I love the screens filled with different characters. And even the dino and penny made it in. Maclean poured a lot of love into this. Huge congrats!
