written by Leo Dorfman
Imaginary story where Superboy lands in the jungle and is raised by apes.
Or Super Tarzan of the Apes as Kal-El becomes Karkan.
I was always a sucker for DC's imaginary stories.
(a concept that was ripped off by Marvel as their What IF series)
This was a nice bonus given that this issue contained a new Legion tale by Dave Cockrum.

Boy oh boy, Murphy Anderson could really make any penciller look better, couldn't he? Just fabulous!

When Bob Brown shares pencilled moments
Will I have to wait for Murphy?
Will he be the inker (inker)
And draw the whole page through?

When will I see you Karkan?
In Imaginary Stories?
Toni has to wait forever?
Will I have to suffer (suffer)
To read the whole book through?

When will I read you Dorffman?
Words and the art beats together
Are they in love or just friends?
Is this her beginning or is this his end? (Yea this the end.)

When will I see you Karkan?
