Description

Another Lake Comic Comic Art Festival 2022 commission - this one by Italian artist Matteo Scalera. Through Essential Sequential, I had given Matteo a list of characters of which he could choose - from both Marvel & DC, as well as his own series "Black Science".

He choose Grant McKay, the main character of "Black Science", backed up by planets and stars. The piece was done via pencils, inks, ink wash & some white-out for the stars. Size is 9x12.

The way it's filled in with black sticks out giving us more character along the face and neck.

And it matches for great symmetry with the top part of the commission filled out in black, while leaving the bottom white.
