Description

Yogi Bear and Boo Boo Frame Tray Puzzle Advertising Illustration Original Art and Photostat Group of 2 (Hanna-Barbera/Parkes Run, c. 1970s). Yogi digs into a tree laden with honey, but it's going to come with a cost - a sharp, painful one! That's the situation in this cool original piece of artwork, created for advertising use for a giant-sized frame tray puzzle. Yogi and other Hanna-Barbera characters were licensed by publisher Parkes Run for a number of different oversized tray puzzles that were sold at Toys R Us in the mid-to-late 1970s. This is a black and white line art version of the painted color image that was used in flyers and newspaper ads promoting the puzzles. The art is in ink/black marker on onionskin paper measuring approximately 19" x 24"; the image size is 17.25" x 22.25". An ad slick photocopy measuring 5.5" x 7.25" is included. The art was originally stored with another illustration underneath it, and over time, the ink lines from the second piece slightly migrated to this one, leaving a "ghost" image" on the paper. Overall condition is Very Good.
