DescriptionThis is Sean Murphy's original design and concepts for Kevin from his creator owned book, The Plot Holes. Sean self published the book in June 2020. This is such an over-the-top character idea and love that Sean took inspiration from Calvin and the band Ugly Kid Joe to create Kevin, who also had a connection to the tiger character, Röar.These designs were published in the back of the trade paperback and hardcover books. UPDATE: July 18, 2023 - Massive Publishing announces this artwork will be used for a limited Ashcan cover available at SDCC 2023! The individual issues will start to hit shops on August 30th, 2023. It would be the perfect song for an action sequence with this guy spinning and flipping in while dishing out havoc.

Dig design-wise how much of a depature this character is! He never got over losing his teddy bear, hence, here we are! Lol. Fun stuff. Congrats, on this one and the whole Plot Holes batch!

Ha, thanks! It was a lot of fun to see Sean create these characters in such different art styles based on the genre of the books they came from. Made for an eclectic bunch.

It shouldn't make sense he's just two heads tall with a big head and hat, but it works in this comic strip style design.

Fantastic. You really get a sense of the character from these images. In other words, a perfect design sheet.
