Description

How often do you see a Captain America sketch by long time DC Comics artist Nick Cardy? This may be the only one! I love seeing Marvel characters drawn by legendary artists that never had the chance to draw them! This was a recent purchase from the Comic Art live Sale! This checked a box for me as I asked Cardy for a Captain America sketch years ago but I didn't have the funds to make it happen at the time. Thank you Michael for parting with this.

A really cool piece that Cardy used his soft pencil to create shading and outline. He didn't make many appearances in the west coast and when he did, dealers from the East Coast knew what to do and bought him all out before the show opened.

I'm with you on thinking it's cool to see an artist whose name is practically synonymous with DC take on a Marvel icon.
