Description

As part of the second story The Storm" Yeates takes the story to another level with this water battle action against the water reptiles, where Tarzan must rescue Tala (who apparently has acquired a dangerous taste for abalone!) It is simply amazing what Thomas Yeates did here.

It is simply pen and color wash, no garish colors to distract from the nuanced inkwork. Undersea art is very difficult with all the reflective shadows, but Yeates seems to do this with ease! Delicate, light and shadow, on the creatures and the main subjects. Simply Masterful work!

Also, a terrific story, the whole issue is a terrific experience! Enjoy!!!

The rare physical use of duo tone board with the layers of depth that are revealed with the natural brush. Well designed with the central image of Tarzan and all the action surrounding it.
