Batman #231
"Blind Rage of the Ten-Eyed Man!"
-May 1971

Nothing like a post Vietnam story about a dejected US soldier with PTSD having flashbacks to entertain the kids of 1971 with some light-hearted material. Much like John Rambo, "Ten-Eyed" Reardon lures Batman to the jungle which he has filled with traps.

Classic early ‘70s Batman page by the artistic team of Novick & Giordano. This is back when Irv Novick and Neal Adams were alternating artistic duties on Batman and Detective stories and Giordano was inking over both of them. This issue predates the famous 1st appearance of Ra’s al Ghul by one month and features a Neal Adams cover and Novick on interiors.

Adams covers me
But you know the pages Irv's making
Still seventies,
Could it be that Reardon's turning to crime
A Batman drives
A mystery Robbins he writes
The ink is dry

Until Bat dance throwing the fire
That flame broiled kiss is all we need
