I said this already, and I'll say it again because it's more than worth saying.

Tim Sale passed away today. His talent was incredible, and Paul Levitz once mentioned that Christian Bale looked at Tim Sale art when filming the Batman trilogy.

But what might not be talked about enough is how great a guy Tim was. He was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Talent and a great person. What a combination. He'll be missed as an artist and as a person.

We were fortunate enough to have worked with Tim on a few projects, including Vampirella, and this page was from the Harris run which we were fortunate enough to buy the Vampirella library. What Tim did here was sooooo beautiful just with her eyes and lips. And with the added homage to Archie Goodwin.

No one but Tim could have done this.

Godspeed Tim. We were blessed to have worked with you. And the world was blessed to have had you in it.

A great page with just intense closeups! It's like he saw Citizen Kane and picked out the most effective way to bring the story to light. A fantastic talent that was always busy at conventions as his popularity and legend grew year after year.
