Description

By coincidence, I had recently caught up on Ghost Rider comics when I noticed the upcoming art drop at Cadence Comics for issues #2 and #3 of the 2022 series.

This is the first time I was able to land a page from a recent art drop that was THE page that struck me the hardest in the title.

The Motel Manager in the story is a serial killer who sacrifices his customers to a demon. When Johnny Blaze comes to the motel, the Ghost Rider within cannot abide the Corinthian-Level gruesomeness going down.

The Ghost Rider busts through and points shouting "Penance!" and the killer snaps his own neck.

That's a grand entrance! Ghost Rider's demonic gaze and command is like the word of God to this guilty sinner who knows it's all over.

Phenomenal page! The top image of Ghost Rider snapping his chains is magnificent! But I also love the close-up of his flaming head and accusing finger in the middle panel! And the bottom panels just blow my mind! This entire page is jaw-droppingly cool!

This wouldn't have gotten approved in the days of the Comics Code Authority! Because the CCA hated cool comics like this!

Man, awesome shot of the Rider up top! Cory's been doing a a great job on this book...witness exhibit A :) Really digging the horror feel. And congrats, man - not often we can get the THE page we dig most from the book!
