Description

according to several Frazetta experts, this illustration was done ca. 1963, when Frank had left Capp/Li'l Abner, and was starting to do book illustrations. That also dovetails with the FF signature. One can be forgiven for thinking this has strong resonance with Krenkel's work, after all, it was Roy who was pushing Frank into book work at the time; image area 2x4"
