15" x 10.25" image area. Ink over graphite on Marvel Bristol board. Punisher #75 Page 3 original art (Marvel, 1993). Simon Bisley.

A rare gem, this is one of only four Punisher pages that exist from the hand of Bisley. It is the ONLY time Simon Bisley illustrated a Punisher story, a short four page series called "Flare Up" about an attack on a crack drug lab. With a multitude of awards under his belt, it's no wonder. Bisley is one of those rare, few artists that have a style that is unmistakable and wholly unique to them. In this case, the art is unadulterated Bisley, him having done BOTH the pencils and inks. His take on the Punisher and the graphic gore / violence in his art is incredible with insane line detail. There is only one other instance where Bisley rendered the Punisher - a cover for Punisher Summer Special in 1992. Despite his cover work, the issue had no story by Bisley.

That bottom panel, WOW. This is kinetic almost unlike anything I have seen from Bisley. Pure gold!

Good thing it's a short story, he gets those kills in more quickly and savagely! Checkerboard floor is a fun pattern against the lively high voltage lines and filled in gutters in between panels that make the action fast paced and highly kinetic.

Wow! A Simon Bisley Punisher story! That's something you don't see every day! Love this page depicting Punisher's attack on a crack drug lab. Lots of violent confrontations and lots of things blowing up. Just what you'd expect from a Simon Biusley story! Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
