Description

This caveman series published by Charlton was based on a Hanna-Barbera animated TV show. The comic book ran 9 issues, from May '75 to November '76. Pat Boyette worked on all issues, on pencils, inks and writing.

Boyette was a "minor" artist (by DC/Marvel standards), but a solid pro, with a distinct personal style that set him apart from the crowd at the second-tier shops. He keeps it simple here (I imagine Charlton's page rates encouraged an efficient work pace), but his layouts are always creative and he gets the most out of the textures of the Neanderthal fur outfits and rocks.
