Description

Sam Kieth's unique line work is evident on this 1991 cover. Kieth's intricately rendered cover came during his brief tenure at Marvel in between his work as the first artist on Neil Gaiman's The Sandman and his time with Image Comics putting out his own creation, The Maxx. The Wolverine logo is hand-drawn, complete with hand-drawn shadowing (not Zipatone)

One of the most out of the box covers of the run and the most memorable. Sam Kieth's innovative vision was a shot in the arm and was part of a movement that reinvigorated the house of Marvel.

Keith's covers were so well done, all of his art from this era, in fact was fantastic. If a comic had his art on the cover or interiors, I was a buyer. Great example!
