Description

Got a chance to catch up with Ken Lashley at SDCC and take a look through his portfolios. There were so many great pages and sketches to choose from but limited funds made me have to narrow it down to just one. Well, why this one?

There were some cool action pages of Domino to be had but I found it incredibly funny and absurd that anyone would agree to sit down and gamble against her. More importantly though, this page brought back fond memories of the times I spent playing Poker with my closest friends and family. My grandmother taught me the game early on and I've loved it ever since. Pretty cool to have a page of Marvel's luckiest character enjoying a hand.

Yeah...guns against her at a poker table will make no difference...except for a hilarious and eXciting story she'll get to tell later. Congrats!

This certainly represents her character and mutant traits better than any action page. The camera lens effect is very nicely done and suits our narrow focus as others flop their way all out to the river.

Both panels are incredible! The top just pops and the first person view is framed so well on the page.
