Description

I first became aware of Travel’s art during the new 52 revival of Animal Man with Jeff Lemire, probably my favorite of all those books. I really enjoyed Travel's unique, detailed and imaginative art, in addition to Lemire's rather unsettling tale.

Believe it or not, this amazing commission is the FIRST one Travel has ever done! All the other “commissions” out there are practice or unpublished pages. How cool is that? Of course, I had to ask for a bunch of cosmic characters that he wasn't very familiar with, lol. He added Firelord of his own accord, one of the few I guess he did know. And I dig how he put Carol-Captain Marvel front & center as I don't own any art featuring her. And yes, I forgot to request Drax...

Anyhow, I think he crushed it. I especially like his Gamora and Clea; he draws purty girls. I really got lucky though, he doesn't do commissions but he had a teeny window between assignments and this beauty filled it. And talk about speed, he completed it over the weekend! I wanted it larger, but hey, you takes what you can get. :)
