R.I.P. Julie Wree

This page contains one of my all-time favorite Jaime panels (panel 2). There's just something about the gesture and the posing that has stuck with me, even after 30 years.

Originally published in Love and Rockets #42 (1993) and later reprinted in the collections Hernandez Satyricon and Amor y Cohetes. The original art for this story was also showcased in the Jaime Hernandez Studio Edition published by Fantagraphics in 2017.

It's part ballet and Schulz. It is also part Looney Tunes combining fast paced cartoon wackiness and high culture.
