DescriptionAccomplished in pencil, pen and ink which measures 14 x 18 in. A beautiful and powerful portfolio cover that is strongly reminiscent of the Death Dealer pose. Frank framed this and placed it in his dining room. It hung from 1977-1995. Other originals changed positions, but this one stayed.Social/Sharing |

Wonderful! Every mark serves a purpose, and the negative space just enhances the perfection of the central figure. Congrats!

Masterpiece. Always loved this one. One of the best Frazetta 70's ink drawings. Just incredible.

That's an amazing drawing. Frazetta often combined lighter washes, darker inks, pen, and brush in a single image, but this is among my favorite examples of how he could control the values and composition perfectly. Every line is so fluid and perfectly executed.

An undisputed Master, with a supreme understanding of every medium and instrument he ever touched. This is an iconic representation of his genius.

A spirited and romanticized work that speaks to Frazetta's lasting legacy. Makes me want to break out that Doc Dave catalog and refresh my interest and love for Frazetta and all that he left us.

I've always felt Frazetta was a far better ink man than painter andthis illustration is just one example of manmy that supports that belief. Congrats on the acquisition, Matt.

Frazetta's imagery of war, conquest, muscle and sinew is unforgettable.

I am going to get in trouble here as this may annoy you. I think you need to change your description. For me this is clearly all brush work. No pen used. Inkwash and linework done with a brush. Fabulous stuff. I can see why Frank would have it in his dining room for so long. Surprised he let it go!

Gorgeous! What a fantastic Frank Frazetta piece! I love everything about this--the composition of the scene, the pose of Kubla Khan on his horse, the massing horde behind him, everything. My sincerest congrats!

This is just fabulous. Love how the eye is brought front and center while not skimping on the details of the background as they fade out. Stunning piece!

The comic art community has gotten together and decided that no one person should have this many great Frazetta pieces - therefore, you must sell this to me. :P
