DescriptionPurchased all 6 pages from Ken Danker-1998Jack Katz started working in comics in 1943. Katz went to work for Standard Comics and its imprints in 1951, doing horror comics, war comics and some romance comics. He is best known for the “First Kingdom,” which is a 24-issue, 768-page graphic novel that took Katz 12 years to complete from 1974-1986. Social/Sharing |

Katz is able to fill this page with absolute despair for these soldiers put into a position to only lose. The three front and center with their sunken eyes and the hardened emaciated look are very dramatic to open the story.
