My Mother, Supergirl

A type What If? story as Superman asks his super computer to project what would have happened if Krypton had exploded earlier and it was his parents who were the children that were sent off to Earth to grow up.
Prior to this DC used to have imaginary stories and later they had Else Worlds stories but for this one they use Superman's computer as the gimmick.

Lara was adopted by the Clarks and grows up as Martha Kent's sister.
Jor-El was adopted by the Kents and grew up as Jonathan Kent's brother.
Lara (Laura Clark) becomes Supergirl while Jor-El (as Jack Kent) becomes engrossed in science and hardly ever uses his powers.
Superman follows the story to see if they will fall in love with each other.
Laura is attracted to Jack but Jack only has eyes for Supergirl. After Laura discovers that they are from the same planet, she tells Jack and asks him to prove that they are not related. As she leaves it finally dawns on Jack why she asked.

If being right means being without you
I'd rather have a wrong Super wife
Your mama and daddy say it's a shame
It's a downright disgrace
But long as I got you by my side
I don't care what our Krypton say

Your friends tell you it's no future in loving Supergirl fan
If I can't see you Laura Clark, I'll see you as Jack Kent

If loving you is wrong, I don't wanna be right
If Schaffenberger's wrong, I..wait, somethings not right

Man, and I thought my attempted explanations of the X-Men Forever series sounded convoluted! But I guess this is the type of wacky, good fun that made DC readers prefer the publisher over Marvel's much more serious approach.
