Description

I previously had a number of García Lopéz pages, covers and such that I ultimately traded or sold away. That made me sad so I went out searching for something new to replace all of that. I feel for the price point I got a really nice action splash page. Too bad no Batman but oh well. A quick story. You see the lower portion of the page is blank I assume for text or the credits. I thought this was a perfect place for José to sign the page and just my luck he was scheduled to appear at Terrificon. Anthony Snyder who I bought the page from was nice enough to shuttle the page to the con for the signing. But for some unexplained reason José canceled his appearance at the show at the last minute. So no signature. I contacted Spencer Beck José’s rep to see if I could get it signed but he said that he doesn’t arrange signings for fear of losing the art or it getting damaged. So I am SOL. It’s a bummer too because that area on the page is perfect for a signature. I’ll have to keep my eye out for a West Coast appearance of José in the future. In the meantime enjoy the page.
EDIT: Thanks to my buddy Tim Townsend who took this with him to TerrifiCon to have José sign the art for me! Woohoo! Now I am satisfied. Just perfect.

It's a splash title page and a great battle one at that! All that kinetic energy coarsing through the figure work of JLGL is enhanced by a clean ink line superhero treatment from Phillips.
